My name’s Andy Wakefield, I’m an academic gastroenterologist, pursued a career originally in surgery and then in academic gastro neurology. My main interests were Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative colitis and then lastly Autism has rather taken over my world.

My life is about choices and I was presented with a choice one is that you act in the patient’s interest, you continue to pursue their story to test it’s validity in a scientific setting and to determine whether it is right or wrong or you can just walk away.

You can say to the next mother who comes in “look, I know your story may be valid, I know your kids suffering but I’m really sorry, could you just go and find someone else?” That was the choice, it was as stark as that and I took the former. Is there a link between autism and a common childhood vaccine…

Vaccine injury fund tops $3.5 billion, as patients fight for payment#android#iPad#retweet

By Jessica Boehm

WASHINGTON – When Phoenix nurse Tarah Gramza realized that her daughter’s autoimmune disorder may have been caused by a vaccine, she looked into suing the vaccine manufacturer.

Then she learned that the government won’t let her.

Instead, Gramza is beginning what could be a years-long legal battle with the U.S. government, trying to get an infinitesimal slice of the $3.5 billion fund set aside to compensate people who have adverse reactions to vaccines.

Gramza, like most Americans, had never heard of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program – the trust fund that’s financed by a 75-cent tax on each dose of vaccines that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends for children.

The program started in the 1980s after a number of vaccine manufacturers threatened to pull out of the United States in the face of a growing number of lawsuits.

In order to protect the vaccine supply, and keep the majority of Americans immune to possibly devastating disease, Congress pledged to protect the manufacturers from lawsuits.

But some say that solution – the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program – is not living up to its promises. It’s complicated, litigious and time-consuming – and often ends without any compensation at all.

“There’s no part of it that’s easy,” said Renee Gentry, president of the Vaccine Injured Petitioners Bar Association. “It’s knock-down, drag-out fighting at every step.”…

200 Evidence-Based Reasons NOT To Vaccinate – FREE Research PDF Download!#android#iPad#retweet

Written By: Sayer Ji, Founder

It is abundantly clear that if the present-day vaccine climate, namely, that everyone must comply with the CDC’s one-size-fits-all vaccination schedule or be labeled a health risk to society at large, is to succumb to open and balanced discussion, it is the peer-reviewed biomedical evidence itself that is going to pave the way towards making rational debate on the subject happen.

With this aim in mind, GreenMedInfo.com has painstakingly collected over 300 pages of study abstracts culled directly from the National Library of Medicine’s pubmed.gov bibliographic database on the wide-ranging adverse health effects linked to vaccines in the today’s schedule (over 200 distinct adverse effects, including death), as well as numerous studies related to vaccine contamination, and vaccine failure in highly vaccine compliant populations.

This is the literature that the media, politicians and governmental health organizations like the CDC, pretend with abject dishonesty does not exist – as if vaccine injury did not happen, despite the over 3 billion dollars our government has paid out to vaccine injured through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund since it was inaugurated in 1986.

We have written extensively about this research previously, highlighting different studies, focusing on translating their implications to the lay persons (view our vaccine article section here), but we believe that collecting and condensing solely the primary literature itself makes a much more powerful statement…

TOUCHED BY LYME: “Two steps forward and one step back is progress.”#android#iPad#retweet

Nationally recognized specialists, including one of our Featured Doctors, Dr. Jodie Dashore, have additional updates in regards to Lyme disease and it’s co-infections.

Dr. Dashore’s son, Brian is a natural born leader and is sharing his story and reaching out to teen action groups across the state of New Jersey.

by Marjorie MacArthur

About 250 patients, caregivers, doctors, and interested citizens gathered in Monmouth County, New Jersey for an informative and hopeful Lyme Disease Education seminar April 25. Dr. Robert Bransfield, Dr. Jodie DaShore, and New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith joined Pat Smith of the Lyme Disease Association and the Kahn family members to share news and hope for residents struggling with tick-borne illnesses.

Dr. Bransfield, past president of ILADS and noted neuropsychiatrist, gave an overview of Lyme and co-infections. He discussed the intricacies of patient assessment and testing, described the two standards of care, and explained the plethora of treatment options.  Describing the political climate of tick-borne infections, Dr. Bransfield said, “Lyme disease may currently be the most controversial issue in medicine.” He emphasized the importance of “think[ing] outside the box with complex diseases.” He evoked laughter when…

4.6 Million Americans Now Autistic – 49 Doses of Vaccines Until Age 6 – Here Is What You Need To Know#android#iPad#retweet

In 2012, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported that there were 1 in 88 children in the United States who had autism spectrum disorder (ASD). That represented an almost a 1000% increase since the 1980s. There is now 1 in 68 children who have ASD, a 30% increase from just two years ago, according to a new report released by the CDC.

What Does The Official Data Say?

In 2007, the World Health Organization (WHO) argued that the world faces a critical problem with the growing number of people with mental and neurological problems, including autism, which accounts for 11% of global disease. The number is projected to reach approximately 15% by 2020. In 2009, the WHO estimated that there are 1,100,000 cases of autism in China; 650,000 in the UK; 500,000 in the Philippines; and 180,000 in Thailand. The rate of autism is growing at 14% per year around the world. In China it is growing at a rate of 20% a year…

What the News Isn’t Saying About Vaccine-Autism Studies#android#iPad#retweet

 by

A new study this week found no link between vaccines and autism. It instantly made headlines on TV news and popular media everywhere. Many billed it as the final word, “once again,” disproving the notion that vaccines could have anything to do with autism.

What you didn’t learn on the news was that the study was from a consulting firm that lists major vaccine makers among its clients: The Lewin Group.

That potential conflict of interest was not disclosed in the paper published in The New England Journal of Medicine; the study authors simply declare “The Lewin Group operates with editorial independence.”

(As an aside, according to OpenSecrets.org, The Lewin Group’s parent company, UnitedHealth Group, is a key government partner in Obamacare. Its subsidiary QSSI was given the contract to build the federal government’s HealthCare.gov website. One of its top executives and his family are top Obama donors.)

Conflicts of interest alone do not invalidate a study. But they serve as important context in the relentless effort by pharmaceutical interests and their government partners to discredit the many scientists and studies that have found possible vaccine-autism links…
