…In 1994, a song written by a jam band called Blues Traveler came out and was played in clubs and on radios across the nation. It made the top ten charts and remains one of the most memorable songs from the 1990’s. That song was entitled Hook and the lyrics of the song assert that even if what a singer sings about is effectively meaningless, listeners will keep coming back to it so long as it’s articulated in a way that makes listeners feel “some inner truth of vast reflection” is being conveyed. Most listeners didn’t even pay attention to the lyrics, but sang along anyway. Well, folks, that’s exactly what’s been happening recently with an article on vaccinations that’s been making the rounds lately. Welcome to information age, where a blog post can be shared all over cyberspace and receive over 10,000 “likes” on facebook and say very little that is actually useful.
Entitled “Dear parents, you are being lied to,” Jennifer Raff lists all the vaccination-related arguments she’s heard over the years from (presumably) those who choose not to vaccinate (she simply addresses a collective “they.”) What makes this article so appealing is that she doesn’t bog us down with details. She simply lists her points statement-rebuttal style and includes a few links to her pro-vaccination statements. The problem with this is that when you take the time to dig down into the details, you soon realize she’s wrong. By exaggerating the information cited in each argument, she makes what is (judging by the popularity of the article) an apparently compelling argument to those unwilling to dig deeper, but is essentially a straw man once the surface is scratched….

“In light of recent outbreaks of measles and other vaccine preventable illnesses, and the refusal of anti-vaccination advocates to acknowledge the problem, I thought it was past time for this post.”
“Recent outbreaks” according to the linked article: 189 (out of roughly 300,000,000) people in 2013.
To put this in perspective, that’s 1 out of every 1,500,000 (1) in the United States. That’s hardly an epidemic.

Dr. Brownstein recently reported that Congressman Jason Chaffetz is going to hold hearings this fall and invite Dr. Thompson to testify, but that he must be subpoenaed in order to tell the truth:

Congressman Jason Chaffetz is going to hold hearings on this matter this fall and invite Dr. Thompson to testify. Dr. Thompson will not be able to speak freely unless it is under subpoena. Why, you may ask does Dr. Thompson need to be subpoenaed? Because the CDC will not let him speak out without a subpoena.

As we all know, earlier this year you decided that Australian families must vaccinate their children, or else lose government benefits.
And then you also decided that all vaccine exemptions would be cancelled, except the rare medical one.
Well, Tony, something just happened in Washington DC that leaves you hanging out on a very dangerous limb, unless you can suppress all mention of it in the Australian press.
US Congressman Bill Posey, speaking on the House floor (July 29), read a statement from a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The scientist’s name is William Thompson, and he is a whistleblower.
In 2004, Thompson and several other CDC scientists authored a study on the MMR vaccine and its potential connection to autism. The study was published in the journal Pediatrics. The MMR vaccine is mandated for children in Australia, as you know, Tony.
The CDC study claimed there was no sign that the MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine was dangerous.
But Congressman Posey read a shocking statement from whistleblower Thompson (July 29) to the Congress, in which Thompson confesses to a lie. A gigantic lie…

You’ve all heard it by now, a young woman died from pneumonia after an autopsy revealed that she had the measles virus. I just love it when the media (backed of course by their big pharma advertisers) use manipulation techniques to push their agendas, as if we’re sheep wandering aimlessly about without our brains. Do they really think we’re that stupid? Did they think we would forget that just a few weeks ago, the American Medical Association (which is also heavily funded by big pharma) said they were going to push to eliminate non-medical vaccine exemptions by applying pressure to legislators (who are also funded by big pharma)?
They know this is exactly what’s needed to push the type of unconstitutional cow poop that was passed last week in California, in other states, and we have a federal bill eliminating non-medical exemptions on the horizon. There’s nothing to get the people rallied behind vaccine mandates like a scary measles story and they desperately needed one. Fear trumps constitutional liberties…or is it money? It’s all starting to blur together.
However, there were some huge inconsistencies in this story that are worth pointing out. If you have the ability to read between the lines like I do, you probably already caught them, but just in case you need to clue some peeps in, we should get on the same page.

On July 2, 2015, the Washington State Department of Health issued a press release titled, “Measles led to death of Clallam Co. woman; first in US in a dozen years.”1 Within hours, the release began to be picked up by numerous media sources, including ABC News,2 BuzzFeed News,3 CBS News,4 CNN,5 Forbes,6 Fox News,7 NBC News,8 Reuters,9 Slate,10 the Detroit Free Press,11 The Huffington Post,12 The New York Times,13 the Puget Sound Business Journal,14 The Seattle Times,15 The Verge,16 the Washington Examiner,17 and The Washington Post.18
(Don’t forget to note the lead-off to each story—those scary microscope images of the measles virus. There’s the peachy pink one that looks like rivers draining into a lake, and then there’s the orange one with the big purple blob. They’re meant for effect… you know, to set the tone.)
Be assured that this is just the tip of iceberg. The story will continue going viral for some time, and it will spark yet another national debate about the need for mandatory vaccinations for both children and even adults.
