Despite your OB’s concerns on one hand about mercury in fish – while somehow blithely injecting thimerosol-containing (ethylmercury) flu shots, on the other – many women remain confused about the role of seafood in a pregnancy diet….

Prevention #Pregnancy & Vaccines #Autism #Adverse Reactions To Vaccines

The instances of developmental disorders in the United States has been reported as 1 in 6 children.1 Therefore, prevention of developmental disorders is paramount for parents.
Autism is a developmental disorder characterized by a wide range of physical and psycological symptoms. Although the cause of Autism is still not well understood, the prevailing thinking is that it is caused by a genetic predisposition and an assault on the immune system either during gestation or after birth. Prevention, therfore, begins before conception. Through a protocol of eliminating environmental toxins, stenghtening the immune system and understanding your family history the risk of autism can be minimized.
More specific autism risk factors include parental and sibling history of autism, ADHD, OCD, some psychiatric illnesses, genetic disorders, allergies, asthma, poor immune system (either hyper-immune or low-immunity), learning and language difficulties, advanced maternal age, poor nutrition, low essential fatty acids, chronic infections, poor periodontal hygiene, before conception and during pregnancy exposures to toxic metals through environment, fish and vaccinations.2

It was 1977 when I found out I was going to become a Mom. I instinctively knew I needed to be careful while I was pregnant, especially during the first two trimesters when the major organ systems of the fetus develop at a rapid rate. In the 1960’s there had been a lot of publicity about babies dying or being born without arms or legs because women had taken a drug (Thalidomide) for morning sickness in the first or second trimester of pregnancy1 and I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to protect my health and the health of my baby before and after he was born.
Mothers to be in my generation were told to take extra vitamins and eat nutritious food but, most of all, to avoid anything that could harm the developing fetus like alcohol, cigarette smoke, medications, radiation, household cleaning products and other toxic exposures. Some of us were aware of the risks of heavy anesthesia during delivery and signed up for Lamaze classes to prepare for a drug-free birth, which many obstetricians discouraged, and we chose to breastfeed, even though a lot of pediatricians were pushing formula and bottles back then…

There is a lot of wisdom to be gained from individuals that have witnessed changes in standard health recommendations over the decades without a vested interest. I once heard the suggestion, “If you want to be good at something then study from those who are successful at that particular skill.” This quote sounds like the obvious but how often do “experts” rely on a biased, financially lucrative view or put trust and base their word on organizations that with a small amount of research prove questionable? I would think when giving health advice to pregnant woman that it should truly be the best and proven healthy advice.
Why Giving the Flu Vaccine During Pregnancy Doesn’t Make Any Sense #Vaccines #Adverse Reactions To Vaccines #Mandated Vaccines
The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice (ACIP) recommends flu vaccination during all trimesters of pregnancy.
However, according to a report published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, this recommendation is unjustified, unwise, and should be withdrawn.
Citing ACIP’s own sources, as well as current literature, the report based its conclusions on the following findings:
- Flu infection is rarely a threat during normal pregnancy.
- There is no “convincing evidence” that the flu vaccination is effective during pregnancy.
- Studies have not adequately assessed the risk of flu vaccination during pregnancy.
- Thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative present in most flu vaccines, has been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, in humans.
- Thimerosal has been linked to a number of animal reproductive toxicities including teratogenicity, mutagenicity and fetal death…

Pregnant Nurse Fired for Refusing Flu Shot Over Concerns It Could Harm Unborn Child #Vaccines Mandated Vaccines #Flu Shot
Dec. 23, 2013
A Pennsylvania mother of one child with a second on the way did what many pregnant women would do: she considered the well-being of her unborn child above other things and decided she didn’t want to get the mandatory flu shot required by her employer. As a result, she was fired.

Dreonna Breton has been a nurse within Lancaster General Hospital since 2008 and recently started at Horizon Healthcare Services, which is owned by the hospital. The hospital has a policy of mandatory flu shots for heath care employees but does allow approved exemptions in certain circumstances, according to The Patriot News…
