Dear Tony,
As we all know, earlier this year you decided that Australian families must vaccinate their children, or else lose government benefits.
And then you also decided that all vaccine exemptions would be cancelled, except the rare medical one.
Well, Tony, something just happened in Washington DC that leaves you hanging out on a very dangerous limb, unless you can suppress all mention of it in the Australian press.
US Congressman Bill Posey, speaking on the House floor (July 29), read a statement from a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The scientist’s name is William Thompson, and he is a whistleblower.
In 2004, Thompson and several other CDC scientists authored a study on the MMR vaccine and its potential connection to autism. The study was published in the journal Pediatrics. The MMR vaccine is mandated for children in Australia, as you know, Tony.
The CDC study claimed there was no sign that the MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine was dangerous.
But Congressman Posey read a shocking statement from whistleblower Thompson (July 29) to the Congress, in which Thompson confesses to a lie. A gigantic lie…

To begin with, I am absolutely, resolutely pro-vaccine. Advancements in immunization have saved countless lives and have greatly benefited public health. That being said, it’s troubling to me that in a recent senate hearing on childhood vaccination, it was never mentioned that our government has paid out over three billion dollars through a vaccine injury compensation program for children who have been injured by vaccinations. Regardless of the subject matter, parents making decisions about their children’s health deserve to have the best information available to them. They should be able to count on federal agencies to tell them the truth.
For these reasons, I bring the following matter to the floor. In August, 2014, Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention worked with a whistleblower attorney to provide my office with documents related to a 2004 CDC study that examined the possibility of a relationship between the mumps, measles and rubella vaccines and autism. In a statement released in August, 2014, Dr. Thompson stated “I regret that my co-authors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the Journal of Pediatrics.” End quote.

By concealing the link between vaccines and autism in African-American boys, the CDC had once again violated that public trust.
Last August, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention senior scientist, Dr. William Thompson, invoked federal whistleblower status and confessed that the CDC has known since 2001 that Black boys exposed to the MMR vaccine have a disproportionate risk of autism.
Thompson, a 17-year CDC veteran is the author of some of the leading studies cited by the CDC to exculpate vaccines from the autism epidemic. Thompson, who still works at the CDC, released the raw data sets that he says his bosses at the CDC ordered him to conceal. Those data show that Black boys who received the MMR vaccine before 3 years of age, as the CDC recommends, were 3.36 times more likely to receive an autism diagnosis than those who received the vaccine after 3 years of age. This effect was not observed in other race categories. Nevertheless, when the CDC scientists published their results in the journal Pediatrics in 2004, they omitted the damaging data, fraudulently declaring there was no risk of autism from the MMR vaccination. In August 2014, Thompson issued a press release through his attorney stating,
I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African-American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism.”
The buried data were disturbing, but hardly surprising. The most reliable studies in the scientific literature indicate that African-Americans are more susceptible to vaccine injury and may also have increased susceptibility to neurological disorders such as autism…

Scientist William Thompson, CDC Senior Epidemiologist, has stated that he and his CDC colleagues consciously omitted data from a 2004 study (funded by vaccine manufacturers) that linked the MMR vaccine to autism. In his statement, Dr. Thompson said “I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information.” Dr. Thompson came forward after highly sensitive documents were released showing widespread manipulation of scientific data and pressure for CDC scientists to suppress a causal link between the MMR and autism[i]. The documents show that African American boys who received the MMR in 2003 had a 340% increased risk of autism.
In August of 2014, a re-analysis of the 2004 study was published in Translational Neurodegeneration showing a statistically significant relationship between the timing of the first MMR vaccine and autism incidence in African American males…

I have great admiration for this mother. I am sure she had many of the same concerns that a lot of other parents have, and she exhibited the courage to do what was in the best interest of her children.

When I first became a Mum, I never questioned getting my children vaccinated. It was just what you did when you have children – you do what your doctor tells you, because they know best.
My husband and I had never been told that there could be any adverse reactions, only a bit of redness and swelling at the injection site. So as each of our six eldest children got progressively sicker after each vaccination, we never made that connection.
Out of our six vaccinated children, our 16, 12 and 10-year-old have moderate to severe Autism, our 25-year-old has ADHD, our 14-year-old has a severe language disorder, and our 20-year-old has severe mood swings…
…They also suffered from chronic ear infections, bronchiolitis, asthma, eczema, psoriasis, urinary infections, gastrointestinal and autoimmune disorders, allergies, chemical sensitivities and intolerances.
We tried genetic testing to look for answers, but no reason was found for our children’s afflictions. So I started looking for answers on my own. I read books, went to seminars, read all the scientific studies I could get my hands on and that’s when I discovered that our family was not the only one…

I like the advice I once heard, to view the media through the lense of watching a commercial.
If you ever wonder why So many medically trained doctors are adamant about vaccines, then take a look at who is funding their medical schools and writing their textbooks.
If you take a step further you will find that their schooling is near absent of any training on how to recognize a vaccine adverse reaction, the critical importance of timely reporting of the vaccine adverse reaction and how to heal, when possible, a vaccine injury.
You would think that with the constant push for vaccines that there would be greater training on the topic. I bet that a lot of pediatricians would have appreciated this knowledge before beginning medical school.
Our society views medical doctors as experts on this topic, then why aren’t they?
Just because a medical school or the American Medical Association does not teach these things does not mean that the practicing physician does not have a moral obligation to learn these things on their own.
The only ones left to guard the health and safety of the child are the parents, and thus the need to hang on to our vaccine exemptions.
The media and medical establishment assault on parental choice is clear.
Each member voting in a legislature and governmental board has the responsibility to study these matters out.
Thankfully, there are thousands of parents and groups that are helpful in this area.
Eventually, vaccines should be an opt in choice not something that parents have to go through the effort to opt out of one or more.
Being that any vaccine can cause death or injury, a vaccine philosophical exemption should Always be available.
