TOUCHED BY LYME: “Two steps forward and one step back is progress.”#android#iPad#retweet

Nationally recognized specialists, including one of our Featured Doctors, Dr. Jodie Dashore, have additional updates in regards to Lyme disease and it’s co-infections.

Dr. Dashore’s son, Brian is a natural born leader and is sharing his story and reaching out to teen action groups across the state of New Jersey.

by Marjorie MacArthur

About 250 patients, caregivers, doctors, and interested citizens gathered in Monmouth County, New Jersey for an informative and hopeful Lyme Disease Education seminar April 25. Dr. Robert Bransfield, Dr. Jodie DaShore, and New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith joined Pat Smith of the Lyme Disease Association and the Kahn family members to share news and hope for residents struggling with tick-borne illnesses.

Dr. Bransfield, past president of ILADS and noted neuropsychiatrist, gave an overview of Lyme and co-infections. He discussed the intricacies of patient assessment and testing, described the two standards of care, and explained the plethora of treatment options.  Describing the political climate of tick-borne infections, Dr. Bransfield said, “Lyme disease may currently be the most controversial issue in medicine.” He emphasized the importance of “think[ing] outside the box with complex diseases.” He evoked laughter when…

The Gary Null Show – 02.19.15#Android#iPad#masterchefit#mommywithstyle

This is a must listen to podcast.  Good to play in the background while you are working or driving. Gain clarity and insight that you won’t find elsewhere in regards to, thirmerasol, the toxic mercury ingredient found in many vaccines.

Dr. Flannery, one of our, Featured Doctors, is also interviewed in this podcast.  Hear what he has to say about his experience with treating vaccine injuries.

Documentary – Trace Amounts – on history of thimerosal and the government government’s coverup on its relationship to autism

– Eric Gladen is the director of the recently released documentary Trace Amounts – a film 10 years in the making that deeply explores the many scientific and politicized medical controversies associated with the relationship between the mercury compound thimerosal found in vaccines and the epidemic rise in autism and other neurological disorders.  In 2004, after receiving a tetanus shot containing thimerosal, Eric’s life completely changed with the onset of a cascade of adverse physical, neurological and mental symptoms following the vaccine.  For the next decade, Eric researched the autism’s “causes” associated with vaccine ingredients and traveled the country to interview and film scientists and individuals questioning the safety of vaccine ingredients to produce this documentary.  Eric has an engineering degree from Oregon State University and his website is TraceAmounts.com

The science behind thimerosal and autism

– David Geier is the Vice-President of the non-profit Institute of Chronic Illnesses, Inc and the Vice-President of the non-profit Coalition for Mercury-free Drugs. He has extensive experience as a medical research scientist and has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific/medical journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. Fifty of his studies examined the safety of such vaccines as hepatitis B, DPT, HPV, the MMR, Lymes, Hib, and polio.  An additional 25 studies investigated the safety of the mercury compound Thimerosal. In recognition of his scientific research, David has been invited to present at numerous professional conferences around the world, including giving presentations to the Institute of Medicine of the US National Academy of Sciences. His scientific research includes the study of vaccine safety, autism and other childhood neurodevelopmental disorders, toxicology, and molecular biological mechanisms.  David is a biology graduate of UMBC and also studied vaccine science, immunology and epidemiology at the NIH’s Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences. His website is MercuryFreeBaby.org

Is the Flu Vaccine the Solution or the Problem?#Flu#Superbowl#Vaccines

  by Kelly Brogan MD

Flu Vaccine the Solution or the Problem

The idea behind vitalism and holistic healthcare is that an environment for wellness can be cultivated once we recognize the body’s inherent complexity, wisdom, and its inextricable connection to the world it inhabits. While it is powerful to see studies like the one I am about to describe, supporting immunity is so much more than throwing a supplement at a problem. It goes without saying that we will never “win the war on microbes”. Not with antibiotics. Not with vaccines. Not with bleach and hand sanitizers. The dawn of the our awareness of the microbiome has changed medicine for good. Somehow, despite the face of every other field being rechiseled by science supporting the role of inflammation and the gut microbiome, infectious disease and vaccinology is still living in the early 1900s when the idea of rubbing the pus of a milkmaid onto a little boy seemed compelling…

Awake at 3 a.m.? Try this quick and easy trick to fall back asleep#insomnia#iPad#android

By Dr Flannery

Do you often wake up at 3 a.m., your mind racing with thoughts, and you can’t fall back asleep? Try this crazy sounding but highly effective tip: Eat something! Make sure it’s not something sweet but instead something with protein and fat, such as nut butter, a bit of hard boiled egg, or some meat. Make sure to keep some food next to your bed with a glass of water so you don’t wake yourself up too much by going to the kitchen. You won’t feel hungry and most likely won’t feel like eating, but do it anyway as an experiment. Chances are you will fall right back to sleep. Why?

If things go according to plan you don’t bolt awake at 3 a.m. While you’re sound asleep you’re brain is hard at work and needs plenty of fuel. It is forming memories, clearing out old cells, regenerating — all while you’re fasting, having gone hours without eating. In order to give the brain the energy it needs, the body gradually raises cortisol, an adrenal hormone. Cortisol triggers the release or synthesis of glucose to fuel the brain during the nightlong fast and you sleep through the night.

That’s if things are working right. If you suffer with chronically low blood sugar then you are one of those people who is likely to bolt awake at 3 or 4 a.m. People with low blood sugar will have difficulty making enough cortisol to sustain the brain during the night. To compensate and keep the brain going, the body then releases “fight-or-flight” adrenal hormones. These adrenal hormones raise blood sugar back to a safer level to give the brain fuel. Unfortunately, they also raise stress, which can cause anxiety or panic in the middle of the night. This explains why you wake up at 3 or 4 a.m. with a racing mind, an infinite to-do list, in a panic, or some other stress-addled state.

Things you can do during the day to avoid waking up at 3 a.m.

Although a few bites of food may help you fall back asleep, it’s better to prevent that anxious wake up call in the first place. If low blood sugar has you waking up every morning at 3 a.m. try the following tips:

  • Always eat breakfast, even if you don’t feel like it, and avoid sugary, high-carbohydrate foods with breakfast. Low blood sugar will cause you to wake up with no appetite. You may even feel nauseous. Eat anyway, you need to break the nightlong fast and stabilize your blood sugar.
  • During the day eat frequently enough so blood sugar does not crash.
  • Avoid sweets and starchy foods (breads, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.) and adopt a lower-carbohydrate diet. People with low blood sugar symptoms typically eat too many sweets and starchy foods as well as frequently skip meals. Eat enough protein and healthy fats to sustain your energy.

Ask my office about nutritional compounds that can help you manage your blood sugar better and sleep through the night.

You Won’t Believe Which Big-Name Groups are Opposed to Flu Vaccine Mandates#cdcwhistleblower#Family#iBelieve

Labor unions representing professionals and skilled workers from many fields have publicly opposed mandatory vaccination in written statements to a government organization. Doctors, nurses, surgeons, skilled laborers, teachers, flight attendants, manufacturing employees, energy workers, and members of many more professions have spoken out against mandatory vaccines to the National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC).

This news is not new, but you probably didn’t know that so many labor unions and trade groups are collectively against mandatory vaccination. These groups, representing millions of workers, include names that may surprise you.

Over two years ago, the NVAC recommended that facilities providing health care services should consider implementing mandatory flu vaccine policies as a condition of employment. Numerous labor unions and professional organizations protested against this proposal, but mainstream media failed to publicize their comments…

While Mitochondrial Disorders (MD) are known

to be genetic in origin, over the last few years

research has also looked into identifying epi-genetic

triggers like vaccination, emotional trauma, etc.

Studies show that MD can be a predominant genetic

complication in many children diagnosed with autism

spectrum disorders (ASD).

On the other hand, there has been increasing evidence and recognition of “acquired” mitochondrial dysfunction

(not a full-blown disorder) in children with chronic and/or autoimmune conditions like autism, ADHD, ADD,

SPD, Lyme Disease and PANDAS with several environmental, immunological, infectious, and inflammatory

factors playing a role. Studies show that substantial percentages of these patients dis-play several peripheral

markers of mitochondrial energy metabolism dysfunction…What are Mitochondria…
