7 Things Being A Professional Ballerina Taught Me About My Body#iBelieve#Health#vaccines

By Stephanie Burg

As a child I knew I was different. I would fall asleep at night listening to Chopin and Tchaikovsky, and draw versions of the tutus I wanted to wear on stage someday. I traded play time for ballet class and was hyper focused on achieving my life’s greatest goal, performing for a living.

Through my 10-plus years as a professional ballerina, my relationship with my body has evolved from one of self-loathing and self-discipline to the deepest, closest, most intimate friendship I’ve ever had. I learn more from this relationship each day.

Here are seven big lessons I’ve learned over the years:

1. No pain, no gain works! Until it doesn’t.

During my career, I became so used to pain that I wasn’t always sure when an injury was serious or not. Ballet dancers must have a high pain threshold to stand on their toes and contort into unnatural positions, yet pain is the body’s signal that something is wrong, and ignoring it can lead to severe injuries…

New Market Ahead for Flu Vaccines: Mandatory Flu Shots for Employment to Expand Outside of Healthcare#Vaccines#Flu#Health

Health Impact News Editor

The 2013-2014 flu season has seen multiple lawsuits started for violating the rights of healthcare workers in refusing employment based on mandatory flu vaccinations. Now, according to a new report published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the stage may be setting for mandatory flu vaccines as a condition for employment in other job sectors outside of healthcare facilities, such as food service, education, community and social services, personal care, cleaning and maintenance, and even real estate.

The increase in mandatory flu vaccines for healthcare workers began in 2012, with the implementation of Obamacare, which links federal reimbursement of Medicare and Medicaid funding to the percentage of healthcare workers vaccinated for the seasonal flu.

As we have mentioned in many other places, vaccines are products that cannot survive in a truly free market where freedom of choice exists because many people don’t want them. Medical leaders, backed by government authority, must mandate vaccines for the vaccine market to survive. They would like you to believe that they are smarter than the majority of the American public, and that those who refuse vaccines are simply uneducated and “unscientific,” but the facts actually show that there are more vaccine refusers among those with a higher education than there are among those less educated. (See: More Educated Parents Less Likely To Vaccinate and Feed Children Sugar and GMO Foods.)

The case for the flu vaccine is the weakest one among all vaccines, because statistics show it is the least effective, and the most dangerous. The CDC has actually been caught lying about seasonal flu statistics merely to sell more vaccines. The government and pro-Pharma mainstream media also do not report on the amount of awards paid out by HHS to those harmed by flu vaccines, including death.

Yet, the rationale given to force healthcare workers to receive mandatory seasonal flu vaccinations as a condition of employment has been to supposedly protect patients, even though the government’s own studies show that the flu vaccine given to healthcare workers is not effective in reducing influenza in healthcare facilities. Tall Tales#Vaccines#Flu#Health

by Jenny Thompson

Dear Reader,

You can file this one under “Tall Tales.” Or maybe “Big Pharma Fantasy.”

Researchers claim they’ve discovered an unexpected, lifesaving benefit from the flu shot.

This new research is just as flimsy as the old stuff. But this time it’s a little different. That’s because it’s the second go-around. What they’re doing now is trying to spin this yarn into a truth.

——————————————————————————–
Dumb and dumber
——————————————————————————–

Two cockamamie studies. That’s what they’re building this insane recommendation on.

According to a team of rent-a-researchers, the flu shot reduces risk of a heart attack by 19 percent.

That’s what they told us in 2010. But anyone with first-grade math skills saw right through the scam.

It turned out that there were 19 percent fewer heart attack patients vaccinated in the previous year. That was the invented “risk reduction” So no — the flu shot did not prevent heart attacks. End of story.

Well…end of story for THAT study. Now we have a new one. Same junk science. Different methodology.

In about 560 people, half had heart attacks and half did not. It turned out that rates of flu shots happened to be lower in the heart attack group. And then the researchers take a mighty leap into pure fantasy… The flu shot prevents heart attacks.

Keep in mind, many of these people had serious heart problems. You can bet their immune systems were pushed to the limit. And of course, those who do get a shot are more likely to take care of themselves to stay healthy.

Here’s the kicker: The study was bankrolled by GlaxoSmithKline. And just five days before the study was published, the FDA approved GSK’s new flu shot. My! Isn’t THAT convenient timing!

So now we have two of these lousy studies being reported on.

But the quality of the studies doesn’t matter. The headlines are out there… “Flu shot stops heart attacks.”

Little by little, that’s how the myth will become conventional wisdom. And eventually, you’ll hear people say, “You should get a flu shot. It actually prevents heart attacks.”

Let me be clear: It ACTUALLY does NOT.

And if you want proof, consider this: If it really did, they would drop the word “flu”, rename it, sell it as a heart attack vaccine, and start pushing it twice as hard 365 days a year.

Bon Voyage Health Fears#Vaccines#Health#Family

When I opened this blog, I had no idea at how interpersonal it would become between my life, and others led to contemplate on these same topics.  As of late a few topics have continued to circle, and float to the top of my thoughts.                       Praying family about to have dinner together

One of which, is the GMO issues facing our food supplies, vitamins, water, and even the grass beneath our feet. As much as I want to learn all the ins and outs of this topic, I find it can be so upsetting though great advancements are taking place as well.  I forward along articles where I can, sign petitions, make better consumer choices and so forth.  These are all good things, but I need to keep a healthy balance in my daily life, and this one concern alone could overtake so much.  As I do what I can to make things better in my little world, I have a comforting thought.

I was reminded of a story, a sweet neighbor shared with me when living in Ivins, Utah.  A gorgeous little community, one in which the Broadway of the desert is located, Tuacahn.

This neighbor had a husband who served in the Navy at one time.  She told me how there was a U.S. naval sailor in a prisoner of war camp.  The poor quality of the food was making the men sick over a significant period of time.  There was one man whose health didn’t seem to be affected as the others.  The one difference, he Blessed his food.

When I begin to feel a certain overwhelm with an unending list of nasty chemicals in our food.  I will do what I can to avoid such consumer products, and continue to sign those petitions, but in the end I will have the faith that my Heavenly Father will make up the difference in our prayers.

Controversy has erupted in western Canada after public school nurses reportedly vaccinated a 14-year-old student without her parents’ consent. CBC.ca reports that the Bootsma family of British Columbia is furious and demanding answers after their ninth-grader was pulled out of class one day and coerced into getting the combination DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) vaccine without a parental consent form or even parental notification.

The FDA has exclusive authority to approve and license vaccines. The FDA also oversees vaccine safety, and herein lies a vast problem that demands correction. This conflict of interest creates inherent flaws within the FDA. Additionally, the FDA’s deficiencies are numerous, thereby compromising its utility….

No HIPAA for us in healthcare #Vaccines #HIPAA #Flu Shot

30th December, 2013

badge of shame

The observations of Karen Sullivan Sibert, MD a Los Angeles anesthesiologist, writer, and mother.

We guard the privacy of patients in my hospital zealously—we take care of a lot of celebrities since we’re right in the shadow of Beverly Hills.  And of course we live in terror of HIPAA violations, those federally mandated HHS rules that protect individually identifiable healthcare information and could bring down “civil money penalties” upon us if we don’t keep our patients’ medical records strictly confidential.

But for healthcare workers—physicians, nurses, technicians, even medical supply vendors—in LA County, the usual privacy rules don’t apply any more.  Now everybody gets to know at least some of our medical history:  whether or not we’ve been vaccinated against influenza….
