Watch what’s happening in Australia. Something like it could be coming to your front door.

If you live in Australia, it’s already at your door.

The Daily Telegraph (4/12) (Anti-vaccination parents face $15,000 welfare hit under ‘No Jab’ reforms) reports:

“Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Social Services Minister Scott Morrison will today announce the historic reforms, which mean parents who fail to immunise their children will no longer be paid the $200-a-week childcare benefit, the $7500-a-year childcare rebate or the $726 Family Tax Benefit A annual supplement.

“The combined childcare and welfare payments at risk could amount to up to $30,000 a year for a family with two young children. The changes will come into effect from January 1, 2016.”

Several years ago, when I wrote about the impending passage of Obamacare, I warned that, up the road, restrictions would tighten. Once under the umbrella of national health insurance, people would find their options squeezed.

Since finishing my pediatric training, I have come to realize that you can find evidence to support your decision to vaccinate or not to vaccinate.

When I started my pediatric practice fresh out of residency, I was a primary care physician and offered vaccinations to those families who chose to vaccinate their children. I actually gave the children the vaccines myself (I’m so glad I no longer do that – I truly disliked that part of my job!).

I was also one of the parents who chose to vaccinate my child. I did educate myself about the pros and cons of vaccines, and felt I still needed to vaccinate Kaitlin (my oldest), but selectively vaccinate and on an alternative schedule (one vaccine per month).

After the 5th  vaccine, her eczema continued to worsen. I started to have the uncomfortable feeling of having to step outside the lines of what the standard medical   community recommended, on behalf of the health of my child. I have always been a rule follower, so naturally stepping outside ‘the standard of care’ was very   uncomfortable for me…

Mystery Outbreaks Now Linked to 115 Paralyzed Children and 14 Deaths#android#iPad#retweet

Today came yet another among many examples of the broken Freedom of Information FOI process: a letter from the government regarding my request for information about the deadly U.S. outbreak of Enterovirus (EV) D68.

EV-D68 is a polio-like virus linked to the deaths of at least 14 people in the U.S. since last August. Though far more deadly and pervasive than the recent U.S. measles outbreak that garnered much publicity, government officials have not promoted general public discussion or media coverage of EV-D68. And the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has not been forthcoming about EV-D68′s potential link to at least 115 cases of paralysis, mostly in children.

On Oct. 9, I filed a FOI request for information about the mysterious outbreaks of these infectious diseases. FOI law requires a response within 20 business days.

Almost six months later, I’m still waiting…

More than 1.2 million people in the United States are infected with HIV 1 but government officials do not ban HIV infected children and adults from attending school, receiving medical care, being employed, or otherwise participating in society. In fact, there are anti-discrimination laws that guarantee civil rights protections for Americans infected with HIV or living with AIDS. 2

No Discrimination or Societal Sanctions for Infected Citizens

In 2012, public health officials reported that about two million people in America are infected with chlamydia, tuberculosis, syphilis and gonorrhea, 3 and they estimate another three million people are infected with hepatitis C. 4 Like those with HIV or AIDS, these citizens are not targeted for discrimination and blocked from getting a public education, being employed or moving freely in society…

As I start to write this I must admit that it is probably one of the most controversial subjects I will ever have to tackle. By now most of you know my own decision was made many years ago to go with a natural form of immunization rather than with the more generally accepted vaccination. But that is only part of a total program that I follow to give me the confidence that the immune system of my dogs is working at it’s optimum.

This website is dedicated to providing factual information and background for breeders to become sufficiently informed to make their own decisions. Therefore I will do my best not to allow my personal bias to enter this series of articles and try to bring you facts from both sides of the issue.

You may be asking yourself what all the fuss is about. Plainly stated, there is no such thing as a 100% effective form of protection against disease!!

Putting it simply, all animals have a unique means of survival with the ability of the body to recognize foreign substances (proteins) and eliminate them. This is maintained by the production of antibodies by certain of their blood cells, often in response to infections. The body thus gains “immunity” to the infection–if it survives.

If you have any reservations at all about the current CDC vaccine schedule, don’t worry. It has been scientifically proven that there’s absolutely no reason for concern. Vaccines save countless lives, just like antibiotics. And the more vaccines we give, the more lives we save. Just like antibiotics. Adverse reactions from vaccines occur but they are really rare. It certainly does not matter how many vaccinations we give our babies at one time! Why should it? Listen, if you drink too much water you can die of water poisoning. Vaccines are like that: as safe and benign as water.

 

All those articles, podcasts, blogs, talks by M.D.’s, scientific studies, and TV news reports that are making you have some doubts about some of the vaccines given to children in the United States? Are you becoming concerned that we are giving 49 doses of 14 different vaccines before age six? Are you worried that children in America have more chronic diseases (like asthma, allergies, juvenile diabetes, Crohn’s disease), autism, and learning disabilities than at any other time in America’s history?

New reports of 19 more cases of kids with whooping cough–all had been vaccinated.

It’s time to stop falling for the propaganda and examine what’s really wrong–as well as what’s right–with some vaccines. It isn’t logical to talk about vaccines as if they are monolithic: all good or all bad. Some are more effective than others. Some are more necessary than others. Some are safer than others. One person may do well with a certain vaccine but another may suffer a terrible side effect. Just like any medicine. The goal is to make the most effective and necessary vaccines as safe as possible for as many as possible. Just like any medicine. Penicillin saves many lives and occasionally kills someone who’s allergic…a great medicine for those it works for; a deadly medicine for the few who can’t take it (but that doesn’t mean they are “anti-medicine”). It also doesn’t mean that those who are allergic to penicillin should be forced to take it or bullied for not taking it.
