Less than 30% of Congress Admits to Vaccinating Their OWN KIDS!!!#android#iPad#retweet

In a story released yesterday, NBC “News” reports on the results of their poll to United States Congressmen and Congresswomen.

NBC asked our nation’s leaders, “Are your kids vaccinated?”

Here are the results of the poll:

Out of 434 members of the House of Representatives, 121 responded affirmatively, indicating “Yes. My children are vaccinated.”

That’s less than 30% – 27.65% to be exact.

How did NBC report the results?

They declared “It’s UNAMINOUS!”

On Capitol Hill, disagreement is the rule, not the exception.

But when it comes to the issue of vaccinations, there appears to be a level of unanimous agreement. An NBC News survey of all 434 voting members currently serving in the House of Representatives finds that not a single member indicated that their children had NOT been vaccinated.

Wait. What?

How can NBC say the results of their survey indicate “UNANIMOUS” agreement, when their own numbers reveal less than 30% of House Representatives said their kids are vaccinated?

What do the results of the survey REALLY indicate?…

The untold story of vaccination schedules, science and speculation

I’ll preface the following article by clearly stating that I’m not a vet. I didn’t attend veterinary college and it’s certainly not a profession I aspire to. I’ve got six years of university and two degrees under my belt, so I know the kind of debt that vets enter into when they graduate. I also know that the vast majority of them make very little money for the amount of education that goes into their career.

But I’m a dog lover and I do like to think that I’m a fairly intelligent and rational person. I don’t want to see dogs get hurt and vets certainly don’t want to see them get hurt. I truly believe that.

So what really baffles me is why vets continue to use vaccination protocols that are harming our dogs.

And now for a little history lesson

Back in the mid 1970’s, vaccines were licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), based on challenge studies that were done for only a few weeks to a few months. Because of that short period of testing, all vaccine labels had this statement on them: “Annual Revaccination Recommended.”

Because duration of immunity (DOI) studies are expensive, the vaccine manufacturers tested their vaccines for a short period of time and subsequently put them on the market with the suggestion of vaccinating annually. But nobody really knew how long those vaccines would last because nobody went to the trouble to test them for more than a few months. So vets got into the habit of vaccinating every year.

During this time, a young scientist had an epiphany….

A Hallmark of Good Journalism Is Checking Sources#android#iPad#retweet

The evidence shows that the 2014-2015 influenza vaccine was an unmitigated failure. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) itself admitted that last year there had been considerable “drift” in the influenza strain most commonly in circulation: The A (H3N2) type unexpectedly predominant had not been predicted by those who were deciding on which strains to include in the 2014-2015 annual flu vaccine and so that A type strain was not included.1

The CDC has predicted that this year’s formula will more closely match the circulating strains, but the make-up of the vaccine is, at best, an educated guessing game, with decisions made long before flu season hits to give manufacturers time to produce and distribute enough of the vaccine to cover the world. We’re now watching carefully this season.

How will the 2015-2016 vaccine fare? Is it worth exposing ourselves and our children to the potential side effects of another vaccine that may not help very much?

An Early Report Suggests a Repeat Failure for 2016?…

…Checking first with the CDC’s most up-to-date influenza information, it was simple enough to confirm that the predominant type of flu seen so far this year is still the A (H3N2) strain of influenza. However, after that, the media coverage of the “facts” about this year’s influenza vaccine suddenly didn’t correspond with what the CDC was telling the public…

Fired over a flu shot: Office workers let go after refusing vaccine or surgical mask#android#iPad#retweet

by Jeff Hays

You’ve likely heard of the hotly contested California mandate that was signed into law this year requiring the vaccination of all children in the state in order to attend public school.  (no exemptions, religious or otherwise)

It established a terribly alarming precedent that will surely be followed by more bold attempts at forced medical procedures and drug interventions on everyday citizens.

It’s happening right now as hospitals to force employees to receive the infamous flu vaccination, often at the threat of losing their job.

I am amazed by the solidarity these strong willed people have shown.

A New Jersey social service agency has followed through with its threat to fire three office workers over their refusal to get a flu shot or, as an alternative, wear a surgical mask while in the company’s Burlington Township headquarters, an attorney for the women said.

Alanda Watson, Megan Duncan and Denise Mercurius, who worked in the accounting and billing departments at Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, were suspended without pay last month for failing to follow the flu-prevention protocol, which went into effect in June.

The company began enforcing the mandate…

Still Vaccinating Your Pet Every Year#android#iPad#retweet

Titer tests are a fabulous option for pet owners.

A simple blood test.  No risk of an adverse vaccine reaction or over vaccinating, let alone the stress that pets incur during a vaccination.

Some vaccines can last up to the life of the pet.

If your vet charges in the hundreds for a titer test, then keep looking.  I have seen prices in the $30. to $50. range.

It would make sense for city and state licensing offices to accept verification of titer antibodies in replacement of annual rabies shots.

Our towns are better off with healthy, happy pets.

By Kim Campbell Thornton

…Side effects from vaccinations range from mild itching and swelling to anaphylactic shock leading to death. Cats may develop vaccine sarcomas, which are cancers that develop at the site of the injection. And dogs may develop certain autoimmune diseases.

Veterinarians have suspected for years that annual vaccinations for cats and dogs aren’t necessary, but large, well-controlled studies just didn’t exist to prove it one way or the other. With the exception of rabies vaccine, the U.S. Department of Agriculture doesn’t require data beyond one year for any vaccine.

With that being the case, vaccine manufacturers arbitrarily recommended annual vaccinations, and most veterinarians, concerned about liability issues, concurred…

…There’s also an advantage to giving single rather than combination vaccines. “Giving more vaccinations increases the likelihood of side effects,” Welborn says. “Separating vaccinations allows the veterinarian to determine which vaccine caused a side effect if one occurs.”

If you’re concerned that your dog or cat will develop a vaccine-related health problem, but you want to make sure they’re protected against disease, annual titers are an economical alternative.

They’re reliable and costs are comparable to those for vaccinations….

Here are some of the possible side effects following a rabies shot.  Since we now know that side effects are more common than thought, including future sarcoma cancers at the injection site and life-long autoimmune diseases, wouldn’t it be wise to just do annual follow-up titer tests, rather than subject our pets to the following side effects for annual rabies shots?

  1. Burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, “pins and needles”, or tingling feelings
  2. confusion
  3. cough
  4. difficulty in moving
  5. difficulty swallowing
  6. fast heartbeat
  7. feeling of discomfort
  8. inflammation of joints
  9. irritability
  10. lack or loss of strength
  11. muscle pain, stiffness, or weakness
  12. paralysis or severe weakness of legs
  13. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  14. rash
  15. seizures
  16. shortness of breath
  17. skin rash, hives, or redness
  18. stiffness of arms, legs, or neck
  19. swollen, painful, or tender lymph glands in the neck, armpit, or groin
  20. tightness in chest
  21. unusual tiredness
  22. vomiting

More Common

  1. Chills
  2. dizziness
  3. fever
  4. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  5. headache
  6. itching, pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site
  7. muscle or joint aches

Good News on the Horizon for Rabies Vaccines?#android#iPad#retweet

By Dr. Becker

I’m very happy to be able to share a bit more encouraging news regarding rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats.

Very recently I reported the results of a study performed by Kansas State University (KSU) that compared “anamnestic” antibody responses of dogs and cats with current vs. out-of-date rabies vaccinations. The animals in the study were given rabies boosters (“booster” is simply another name for a re-vaccination), and then given antibody titer tests to see if the group with current vaccinations had higher titers than the group with out-of-date vaccinations.

The study authors’ conclusion:

“Results indicated that dogs with out-of-date vaccination status were not inferior in their antibody response following booster rabies vaccination, compared with dogs with current vaccination status.

Findings supported immediate booster vaccination followed by observation for 45 days of dogs and cats with an out-of-date vaccination status that are exposed to rabies, as is the current practice for dogs and cats with current vaccination status.”1

What this shows is there is no health-related reason to mandate long-term quarantine or euthanasia for dogs and cats with expired rabies vaccinations that are exposed to a rabid animal…

Skip that Newborn Vitamin K Shot#android#iPad#retweet

At first blush, allowing the vitamin K shot seems to be a no brainer. Safety of this precious, helpless little being is of paramount importance and questioning the necessity of this shot seems ludicrous. Since questioning the unquestionable is something I seem to have a knack for, let’s have at it. Is the vitamin K shot really of any value?

Let’s start with the vitamin K used in the shot itself. Is it a natural form of vitamin K such as would be found in leafy greens (K1) or butter (K2)? No, it is a synthetic vitamin K – generic name phytonadione. Synthetic vitamins should be avoided as they can cause imbalances in the body and have unintended consequences. For example, synthetic vitamin A actually causes the type of birth defects that natural vitamin A prevents!

How much synthetic vitamin K is in the shot? Shockingly, the national standard mandated by most states for US hospitals to administer is over 100 times the infant’s RDA of this nutrient. Since studies have linked large doses of vitamin K with childhood cancers and leukemia, this large dose of synthetic K administered within minutes of birth seems questionable at best…
