We especially want to reach out to those of you who have made a point of assuring the public about the safety of the mercury-based preservative, thimerosal. We need to say this at the outset to contravene the reflexive public relations ploy of labeling every vaccine safety advocate “anti-vaccine.” As the British Medical Journal pointed out last week, that epithet is a derogatory attack designed to marginalize vaccine safety advocates and derail reasoned debate:

The Flu shot is something that’s being pushed on us from every direction.
The CDC would love to have you believe that thousands of people die from Flu every year,
just in the United States alone.
In 2001, out of the 60,000 people that the CDC said died of Flu that year in the United States there were 18 confirmed deaths from Influenza. I mean that’s just a huge discrepancy. What they do is they pull all deaths in the winter that have anything to do with respiratory symptoms together and they all label them as Flu deaths whether they’ve even documented Flu or not. And so the CDC loves to promote the Flu vaccine because the CDC’s been very much in cahoots with the industry. This vaccine doesn’t work, it’s a waste of our money, it’s a waste of our time. Labor unions representing professionals and skilled workers from many fields have publicly opposed mandatory vaccination in written statements to a government organization. Doctors, nurses, surgeons, skilled laborers, teachers, flight attendants, manufacturing employees, energy workers, and members of many more professions have spoken out against mandatory vaccines to the National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC).
This news is not new, but you probably didn’t know that so many labor unions and trade groups are collectively against mandatory vaccination. These groups, representing millions of workers, include names that may surprise you.
